We are hosting Jorge Caldera to celebrate the release of a special batch of Parejo Sotol, a Chihuahuan spirit rooted in generations of tradition and the wild landscapes from which it comes.
Made from wild Maguey de Cerro and produced by fifth-generation maestro vinatero Bienvenido Fernández, this expression of lechuguilla carries the character of its place, pine, earth, fruit and smoke. Vinateros or distillers, create a perfectly balanced (Parejo) spirit until it reaches absolute perfection. Master distillers test this by pouring the liquid between bull horns.
On Thursday, September 24, for one evening only, Jorge Caldera will showcase the process.
Mezquite and the Mezcaleria will serve Chihuahuan cantina-inspired dishes alongside featured pours & cocktails throughout the weekend.
