Ven a Brindar: A Toast with Pati Jinich is a featured event of Ven a Comer 2025 and a perfect prelude to its gala celebration. Sip, savor, and meet one of Mexico’s most beloved culinary voices at Mezquite. During the event, Pati will be signing her latest cookbook, Treasures of the Mexican Table.
Ven a Comer is an annual event supporting the ongoing development, digitization, and preservation efforts of UTSA's Mexican Cookbook Collection, one of the largest collections of its kind in the country. The collection has nearly 3,000 volumes spanning the years 1789 to the present.
What started as an annual fundraising dinner has expanded to various food and drink events held throughout Hispanic Heritage Month.
